The next Membership and Board of Directors meetings will be held Wednesday April 13, 2022. The meetings will be held IN-PERSON at the MMTA Office on Whitten Road in Augusta.
Unless circumstances change, breakfast will be served with the Membership meeting starting at 7:30 a.m. sharp.
Kicking things off will be presentations from some of our industry’s workforce development partners. Jim Liponis (NTI) and Eddy Naples (Region 9) will talk about their respective CDL programs and Lowell Gardner (EMCC) will do the same for the diesel technician program he runs in Bangor. The objective is for MMTA members to hear from these training leaders about challenges and opportunities they face, now and in the future, and then have an open roundtable discussion to provide them feedback from the trucking industry. Please consider attending so we can provide the greatest possible perspective on the number one issue facing the trucking industry.
The rest of the agenda is being developed (click here for the draft agenda) and we anticipate the regular industry reports, a rundown of important Maine legislative issues now that the second session of the 130th legislature is in full swing, as well as an update on MMTA events and activities.
A Board of Directors meeting will follow immediately after the close of the Membership meeting as well as the annual meeting for MMTA Services, Inc.
