The 2020 Maine Professional Truck Driving Championships (to be held at Dysart’s in Hermon) and the 2020 Maine Professional Technician Skills Competition (to be held at EMCC in Bangor) will both be held on May 16, 2020 – a day that we have termed “CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY”.
This year’s Maine Professional Truck Driving Championships is shaping up to be one of the best ever with a tremendous initial response from competitors wanting to prove they are the best truck driver in Maine. Whether it is due to the improved format (including the Technician Competition on the same day) or the great location for the banquet (Jeff’s Catering in Brewer), people are talking about a fun day of competition, camaraderie and good old trucking tradition. If you haven’t already made plans to join us, we hope you will want to join in the fun as a competitor, judge or spectator to see the unbelievable skills displayed by Maine’s best drivers.
The Professional Technician Skills Competition will again have 10 workstations, incredible support from vendor sponsors and a full slate of competitors. We expect this year’s contest will be better than last year’s event showcasing the talents of the individuals who keep the equipment safe and ready to roll.
Back again this year will be the Future Trucker Championships that will feature students from four vocational/technical schools competing in the 5 axle van and straight truck categories for individual and team trophies. This is a great experience for both the students and the professional drivers who interact with them during the competition.
